Got this supposed 4″ SSB Endi on 20th June 2011.  Hope it turns out to be a true SSB.  Need to pump her up.  I love her coloration and contrast.

Atractosteus Tropicus aka Tropical Gar

Got 2 more pieces of Tropical Gars last week due to the impending ban of Gars by AVA.

One of them is of the darker variant while the other of the whiter variant. Interesting to see how they will grow into.

Polypterus Endlicheri Volta Bichir

Acquired 2 x WC Endlicheri Volta Bichir from Stones beginning May 2011.

Love the patterns on the lower half of the body.  Looks like some ancient writing/code.

Polypterus Lapradei

My first Bichir!  Acquired late April 2011 at approximately 4″.  Actually bought 2 pieces and 1 simply disappeared and till date unable to find its body.  One of the mysteries of fish keeping.

Lepisosteus Platyrhincus aka Florida Gar

Got this beautiful piece of Florida Gar from Stones in Dec 2010. It was barely 8″ then and rather skinny looking. It has since put on 5″ in length and looks pretty fat. Eats everything anytime.

Lates Japonicus aka Japanese Perch

Great contrast & coloration.

Purchased 2 pieces at 6″ through special GB on 12/12/2010.

Adapted to MP diet after 2 weeks and they are now 12″.

These guys are big eaters, thus ballooning 2″ per month!
